Still waiting...

I am sure some of you are wondering if we have had Heather yet. We haven't, we are still waiting...and waiting...and waiting... and we don't know how long we will be waiting...and waiting...I'm tired of waiting...there is really nothing we can do. I guess some people try caster oil, but I am definitely NOT doing that...I have heard stories...I won't relate them here. We will wait as long as she wants, because no matter how hard she tries to stay in the womb, she can't be in there forever. That is one happy thought!

Well, I thought we probably should at least update the blog since it has been almost 14 days! (Opps...) Although nothing super exciting has happened, the last two weeks have definitely been a growing experience for both of us. I have been having false labor just about every day for at least a week maybe more...It is painful, and I wish that it would just turn into real labor, and be all over with. I thought that it was real labor on Saturday night last week, but it stopped...needless to say, we haven't been getting our hopes up too much. I also have had SUPER swollen feet, and ankles. Yesterday I think they about reached their limit. I couldn't walk. Today we decided that it was best that I stay off my feet...I have been so bored (thus, the update). It has been really hard for me to not do things and to relax these last two weeks. It is not what I am used to, I am usually always busy, and on my feet doing things...it has been really hard to "take it easy" like everyone says.

Daniel is SUPER busy. He is trying to take midterms, and still get his other assignments in on time, and work all the hours he needs to. He is also having to take care of me, and pick up some of my slack. To do this he gets up way to early, and tries to go to bed early, but often it ends up being way too late. He is trying to balance it all out, but really needs a break! I think it will be great when Heather comes. Although it will be hard, and a lot more busy when she is here, it will be a welcome change that will give us both a little more motivation. I am convinced I really did marry Mr. Incredible!

Baby Shower!!

Wow, I can't believe it is almost time for Heather to come! Only 2 weeks and 5 days or less (I definitely hope that it is not more)! We had a little bit of a scare this past week, thinking that I may have toxemia. We got it checked out, and it turns out that I don't, I just have a lot of the minor symptoms (swelling, and severe headaches). We were very scared that we would have to be induced early, and are grateful that we don't. If we had, we would have had to miss the baby shower.

This weekend we had a baby shower put on by Mom Standage. It turned out wonderfully. Thank you Mom and Michele for doing all the hard work! We received a lot of cute clothes and necessary items from many of you. We really appreciate it! One of the things we were so worried about last week, was our lack of preparation. We feel a little more prepared now with the gifts, and also all the great advice! We still do not feel completely prepared, but I think it is more of a lack of knowledge of how it will be (besides busy and tiring), than anything else.

We can't wait for that special day when she comes! We will try to keep you all updated!
