Bad news

Went to the doctor yesterday morning and got diagnosed with this. At first the doctor thought it was this, but I came back positive with this so the doctor gave me some of this.

This morning things finally started to improve a little bit, so I have stopped taking this. Unfortunately, Stephanie now has this and this, so she's on her way to the doctor now to get screened for this. Hopefully I didn't give it to her!

Tonight's dinner plan is now this...hopefully we can eat it without too much pain!

Same old, same old

The title pretty much says it all. We don't have much going on, but we are busy all the time. There is nothing new. We still have cute kids (most of the time), Daniel is still hard at work with his research, and I am still hard at work at home. Oh yeah...Daniel has been sick a lot since we have been home, but that's nothing exciting (believe me). We have captured some cute photos lately so I guess we will share those.

Heather is a great big sister! She is also becoming a big help to mommy.

Josh has been a lot happier lately! Thank goodness, because I was about to loose it.

Heather spends much of her day coloring. We may have an artist on our hands.

Heather teaching Josh the sign for "Birdie."

Heather loves to laugh and smile. But don't let that fool you, she does have a little rebellious streak.

Aww...

Blessing

Today we blessed Joshua in church. He is growing up so fast and is really starting to develop some personality. We hope that he will continue to grow in strength and intelligence and that he will be able to continue blessing others throughout his life.

The Colemans say he looks like a Standage.

The Standages say he looks like a Coleman.

What do you think?

Vacation 2011 -- Utah

After spending a week with Stephanie's family in Washington, we spent this last week with my family in Utah. We had originally planned on starting off the week with a hike up to the Y in Provo, but a mild case of food poisoning struck and I was in no condition to hike the Y alone, much less with a toddler strapped to my back!

Luckily the effects of the food poisoning were gone pretty quickly, and we still had plenty of time to hang out with the family. We ate at the Creamery on 9th with Mom and Dad and Laura, Michele reserved a pool and clubhouse for a family home evening get-together (complete with a game of Nerts at the end!), and we joined Juli's and Michele's families at Temple Square for a visit to the children's portion of the Church History museum. Back at Mom and Dad's house, we did some gardening, watched some movies, played more games, and spent lots of time in front of Dad's laptop paging through his his screensaver with family history pictures.

As always, the fun is better captured in pictures than in words.

Heather signed "Moroni" while she posed for a picture!

Twirly girly.

Posing at the Salt Lake City temple.

We're home safe in Iowa now, and although I am completely sick of driving, we really enjoyed spending some time with family and taking a break from our normal routine.
