Today was Heather's first day at church. We took her up to Bountiful to attend the missionary farewell of one of Stephanie's friends from Snow College. We were glad we were able to go.
This is one of the first times we've dressed Heather up fancy, and we thought she looked so cute that we did a little photo shoot when we got home. We hope you enjoy the pictures!

Bugs and Such
We made it through another week, thanks to some help from family and friends (thanks for the delicious meals mom!). Between Stephanie's mother visiting earlier this month, and then help from our ward's Relief Society, and then some meals from my mother, we have hardly had to cook so far this month! We've been really blessed. It's kind of like how we used gift cards to do all of our shopping for the first few months we were married! :)
We thought it would be fun to go on a family date to the Bean Science Museum on Friday night, and we had a great time. I felt a little sheepish never having gone to the life sciences museum, since I'm a biologist and biology is a central life science. I was very impressed with the quality and quantity of the exhibits. We had fun showing Heather all of the animals, especially the little creepy crawly critters. We were only able to see about a third of the museum, so we will definitely be going back again.
In other exciting news, Heather had her first real bath yesterday. We can't say that she enjoyed it a whole lot more than the previous method of bathing, but it's fun to see our baby growing and moving on to new things!
We love you all!

We've made it!
We've made it through our first week at home with Heather! Let's see how the next 18 years go!
We were sad to say goodbye to Grandma Coleman yesterday. She flew out the day Heather was born and has been with us the past 10 days. She spent a lot of time with Stephanie, a lot of time with Heather, and a lot of time getting Nathan ready for his mission in a few months. She took us out to Cafe Rio on Friday night--it was nice to get out for a bit! Thank you so much mom, you have been such a great help and you will be missed!
My re-entry into school was a rough one, but I was able to pull things through. The lowest grade I got on a midterm exam was 87, so I think I'll be fine. I can't believe we're on the final stretch of the semester now. Before we know it we'll be done and one more semester closer to graduation!
Stephanie is doing ok, although things haven't been easy. She's battled with a sore throat, a high temperature, and she hasn't been getting much sleep. Just keep praying that she gets better and not worse!!!
Anyway, we know why you're really reading this post...here are some pictures of our cute babe!
Here's Heather in her chair, working hard to put on her cutest don't bother me face.
Mom, Dad, and Laura went to a concert at BYU last night, but they stopped by on their way to see Heather. Heather is lucky to have such a great aunt Laura!
Michele and Mom came down with Erin tonight to see Heather. Look at those cute babes!!!

By popular demand...more photos!!!
For those of you who have not been able to see the baby in person, here are some more photos of the most exciting member of the Standage family.
Baby Heather had a lot of visitors in the hospital. It was good to see so much family.
Grandma Coleman (who just earned that title this week) flew out from South Carolina to spend 10 days with us. It's so nice to have her.
We bundled up Heather on Saturday morning and took her home with us. She's adjusting well to her new home.
Heather's first bath at home reassured us that Heather has no lingering respiratory problems!
Heather learning how to take a good Sunday nap...I couldn't resist!
