That was not funny!!

Discovery

We made a startling discovery this evening after dinner---Stephanie is physically unable to frown! This discovery came about when she was reminding me that it takes more muscles to frown than it does to smile. Her attempted demonstration of a frown was pretty lame, I have to say.

Her smiles, however, are still as stunning as they have always been!

P.S. She just tried to prove me wrong, but failed again.

Valentine's Day Escapades

Thursday started out like a normal day. Stephanie and I went to run at the gym, we went to class, and went to work. After spending some time working on a computer science assignment, I was excited to go home to get started on the lemon linguine we were having for dinner. However, when I stopped by work on the way home, I found a huge surprise there at my workstation--a heart attack from Stephanie. There must of been a thousand hearts there, each with its own size, color, and message. She even included my favorite candy, Reese's peanut butter cups! How could I top that?

Well, luckily I had thought about that a few days before. On the way home, I stopped by the campus floral shop to pick up the flower arrangement I ordered on Tuesday - a white and red stargazer lily accented by some red roses.
We had a wonderful evening together. After dinner, we headed down to theProvo Towne Center mall to do a bit of shopping and catch a movie. I found a nice pair of pants on sale, and Stephanie found a new bottle of lotion at Bath and Body Works. Unfortunately, the movie we wanted to see had just left the theater that day, so we stopped by Blockbuster to rent a movie. That was a bit disappointing, but the strawberry cake and strawberry ice cream we had when we got home more than made up for it.

And yes, Stephanie and I are still madly in love.

A Whole SIX months!

Well, here we are...still happily married after six months. I guess you could say that we are over the "twitterpated" stage of our marriage. However, I still get squishy feelings all the time. Real life has set in now, and we are trying to be all grown up. I think that as much as we try, we will always have some more growing up to do. Isn't that what life is for though? Speaking of life, it has had its trials but has been good up to this point, and I am convinced that it can only get better.

Daniel says that I should make this mushy and gushy, so I will (just for him). I now hereby decree my undying love for him. I am very grateful that he has chosen to put up with me for eternity. (is that gushy enough?)

We love you all and hope that you are doing well. Remember to BE HAPPY! :)

We're Artsy-fartsy

Stephanie and I had a chance to go see "A Midsummer Night's Dream" on Saturday evening. It was a great production: they had a great set, some great acting, and a unique interpretation of Shakespeare's work. It was nice to have an evening out on the town...well, on the campus at least. We're really blessed to have access to such quality fine arts events and exhibits put on by BYU's college of fine arts and the campus museum.

We're looking forward to another campus event: the BYU vs UNLV basketball game. Mom, Laura, and the Heiners are coming down to join us, and it'll finally give Laura a chance to show off that fancy-schmancy pink BYU shirt she got last Christmas. Go Cougs!
