We made it through another week, thanks to some help from family and friends (thanks for the delicious meals mom!). Between Stephanie's mother visiting earlier this month, and then help from our ward's Relief Society, and then some meals from my mother, we have hardly had to cook so far this month! We've been really blessed. It's kind of like how we used gift cards to do all of our shopping for the first few months we were married! :)
We thought it would be fun to go on a family date to the Bean Science Museum on Friday night, and we had a great time. I felt a little sheepish never having gone to the life sciences museum, since I'm a biologist and biology is a central life science. I was very impressed with the quality and quantity of the exhibits. We had fun showing Heather all of the animals, especially the little creepy crawly critters. We were only able to see about a third of the museum, so we will definitely be going back again.
In other exciting news, Heather had her first real bath yesterday. We can't say that she enjoyed it a whole lot more than the previous method of bathing, but it's fun to see our baby growing and moving on to new things!
We love you all!

That looks like a fun date! My kids take their children there but I haven't been there for years. I'll have to try it!
Wow, you guys are brave taking her out so early!! I"m sure Steph has cabin fever though.
I'm very glad you guys are getting out. It's fun to have a kid to show the world to. Boring things suddenly take on new life as you see things through their eyes. I would inform you though, Daniel, that Heather's vision is pretty blurry at this age and reaches, oh, about 2 feet; just enough to see daddy, mommy, and dinner!
Thus, as we observe in Figure 2, the subject is being held in such proximity to the specimens as to allow the subject to register them as ocular input...
