End of December and New Years Eve Good Eats

The end of December was filled with lots of family time and crafts. Heather is quite the artist. She had a story for each one of these paintings.

Slime is so unbelievably easy to make and it keeps kids entertained for hours! (Ok, maybe hours is a little bit of an exaggeration, but maybe close to one hour when you factor in making it and playing with it.)

See? Only happy faces with slime.

Throughout the Christmas season, Josh would get "Hallelujah papers" (that's Josh for sheet music) and sing "Gloooooooooooooooooria" at the top of his lungs, over and over again. So cute.

For New Years Eve, we had two families over for a Balkan themed dinner.  It was a lot of fun. I tried my hand at a traditional Macedonian dish/dip called Ajvar (pronounced eye-var), it was delicious, and our Macedonian neighbors said it tasted pretty authentic. I also tried out baklava. SO yummy! We loved tasting all the different foods, and conversing and celebrating with our friends.
